1998 FORD MUSTANG SVT-COBRA

SUSPENSION
Sway Bar Bushings
My first goal with this car was to determine the cause of a loud clunking noise that occurred when I drove over bumps or rough road. My first idea was to replace the sway bar bushings, as those have been known to wear quickly on this year Mustang. 2 new bushings later, and the noise was still there.

BRAKES
Rotor and Pads (The solution)
After the first attempt at solving the clunking did not succeed, I decided to move to another objective and come back with fresher eyes. The brake rotors and brake pads were worn down, so I decided to replace all of them. It was by a stroke of luck that after replacing the brake pads, the clunking had stopped. The culprits were anti rattle clips that were missing on the original brake pads.
